The Pokémon Company has announced the release date for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. The game will launch on 16 October for both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
In an announcement post, it was revealed that users who purchase the original Switch version of Pokémon Legends: Z-A can upgrade to the Switch 2 Edition through an upgrade pack. However, no pricing has been announced for the game or the upgrade pack yet.
The announcement also came with the game’s official box art. It features a Mega Lucario in battle between Chicorita, Totodile, and Tepig. You can also see the tower in the distance set in Lumiose City in the Kalos region. The region is based on Paris, France, and appeared in the original Pokémon X and Pokémon Y 3DS games.
Back in March, we got a glimpse at Pokemon Legends Z-A during the official Pokemon Day celebration. The trailer revealed new combat mechanics, mega evolution and some strange-looking new characters.
