Netflix will be debuting the new CGI remake of the very first Pokemon movie titled “Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back – Evolution”. The film is a remake of the 1998 classic that sees Ash and his friends set off on their first-ever large-scale adventure in the world of Pokemon to stop the legendary Mewtwo on his quest for revenge.

The original film was a massive success when it launched skyrocketing the Pokemon series into the famous genre we know today. The remake, while not an animation but rather a full-fledged CGI film, follows the same original plot so get ready for the tears and all.
The film is not a real-life CGI film as say Detective Pikachu but rather follows in a Pixar-like design which is a great new way to witness the world of Pokemon. The movie will arrive on Netflix on 27 February 2020 so you can grab some childhood friends and relive the memories of seeing the original in cinema all those years ago. I could swear I still have my Mewtwo card I got when I saw it back in the day.
