Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket Space-Time Smackdown Palkia Dialga

Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket Gets Palkia and Dialga Expansion Next Week

The Pokémon Company has announced the third expansion in the popular Pocket mobile game called Space-Time Smackdown. The expansion is focused on Palkia and Dialga, which are legendary Pokémon from Pokémon Gen 4. The expansion looks great, but at the same time, it makes me wonder where Gen 2 and Gen 3 are? It seems the company is skipping two entire generations for now.

The Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket will be updated on 30 January with the newest expansion. At the moment, there’s no confirmation on exactly how many new cards are included in the set. The trailer does showcase some fancy new ex card and special illustration rares. Of course, there are some pretty Dialga and Palkia cards to collect. I’m not sure if Girantina will be included in the set.

Unlike the Mythical Island expansion, which launched in December, Space-Time Smackdown will include two new booster sets to collect. So, you’ll get to decide between opening either booster pack Dialga or booster pack Palkia.

The Pokémon Company also confirmed that trading is headed to the Pocket app next week. The feature was announced last week but now has a release date. The trading update will arrive on 29 January, the day before the new expansion launches.

We have already covered how the trading system works. You’ll need a currency in order to trade cards. There are also limits to what rarities you can trade with players. The Pokemon Company also confirmed that these two new booster packs won’t be included in the trading feature at launch. So you won’t be able to trade any pulls you get from the Space-Time Smackdown until they add them to the feature.
