Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket

Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket Launches on iOS and Android

The Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is now available on iOS and Android. The anticipated TGC mobile app was announced back in February and it lets players collect cards, trade them with other users and participate in card game battles. While there is a Pokemon Trading Card game mobile app available already, this acts as a separate app to the platform and players can’t carry over any collected cards to the Pocket app.

Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket comes with a big emphasis on collecting cards. The Pokemon Company has designed a collection library where players can fill in card sets and even combine duplicate cards together in order to enhance the flair of other cards. This flair then adds a unique animation to the card when you play it during a match.

Essentially, Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is all about opening up booster packs and collecting rare cards. Each day, players will be given a free booster pack to open which contains five cards. Once opened, their stamina will drain and they will need to wait for it to refill.

The game is free to play. This means you’ll be asked to purchase various in-game items that will speed up stamina and there’s even a premium pass that gives players unique cosmetics and extra booster packs to open every day. The pass costs R199 and comes with a two-week free trial.

At the moment the card selection is limited. There are only 3 booster pack variations to choose from and around 220 cards in the collection. However, the game will grow over time with new cards and themed booster packs. Players would want to collect all the cards while at the same time, looking out for the animated cards. These are rare cards that once tapped on will let players look into the art of the card in a cool animation.
