PowerWash Simulator Gets Final Fantasy VII Crossover DLC

PowerWash Simulator is getting its most ambitious crossover yet as Square Enix and developer FuturLab have announced free DLC themed around Final Fantasy VII. The “Midgar Special Pack” will allow players to powerwash their way through familiar locations, objects and enemies from the iconic JRPG. No release date was announced.

The Final Fantasy VII-themed Midgar Special Pack DLC will give players the opportunity to make familiar locations and enemies such as Seventh Heaven, Guard Scorpion and Hardy-Daytona all sparkly clean and polished. No more details were given other than the bizarre crossover plans, but it’s not exactly out of the ordinary for the relaxing simulator.

PowerWash Simulator is about to get its Tomb Raider Special Pack which includes an all-new mini-campaign, five new levels and even a short story. Hopefully we’ll see more of these unexpected collaborations happen for the game in the near future. Final Fantasy is yet another popular IP that PowerWash Simulator is grabbing for a crossover, which will certainly add to its appeal over time.

In related Final Fantasy news, the full lineup for Square Enix’s upcoming 35th anniversary of the series has leaked ahead of schedule, which names a new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, a new presentation for Final Fantasy XVI and oddly enough, an announcement for the long overdue Final Fantasy X-3 which is now in development. Of course, take all of that with a grain of salt.

FuturLab have yet to announce a release date for its Midgar Special Pack. The game is currently available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
