In the market for a new TV. I am almost completely hooked by the 65U8N, after watching your review. There is one issue that still bothers me. I have had 2 plasma’s in the last 15yrs. The LG 40″ still been used by my daughter and is over 12yrs old. Currently I am using the Samsung F5500, after 9yrs experiencing burn-in. Question, how good are Hisense TV’s and do they at least last 7yrs.

Thanks for watching the reviews! Always nice to know. Yeah I would say Hisense TVs last a good amount of time. Of course, 7 years is a long time and most TV’s will start experiencing backlight issues and burn in after 5 years. The technology is just not meant to last that long without showing signs of age. I had a plasma back in the day and five years later, it also started dimming and had burn in. Hisense does offer a 5 year warranty on all its TVs so they are confident they will last at least five years. Anything after that would be out of warranty. But you need to register your TV with them to get the full warranty, else it is just 3/4 years depending on the product. I wish I could give you a promise that these TVs will last 7 years but I can’t. I can’t promise that any modern TV bought in 2025 will last that long. They mostly all use new tech and we don’t know how it ages over a very long amount of time.
