A new rumour spotted on ResetEra claims that Ubisoft is currently working on a Prince of Persia: Sands of Time trilogy remake for current hardware. Ubisoft recently released a new event in For Honor that added the Prince from Prince of Persia which got people talking. While the leak could be false, John Harker, the guy who shared the news, is known for his insider information and his past “leaks” have been spot on. With that being said, take this with a pinch of salt for now.

In January, someone posted on ResetEra asking about Prince of Persia: Sands of Time and what is the best way to play the game. John Harker replied saying “Wait, not that long for the remake”. He then responded a few days later to a rumour about a sequel called Prince of Persia: Dark Babylon in which he replied “Yeah, that’s not the next PoP release.
John Harker then commented again on 12 March 2020 in regards to the For Honor event which added the Prince into the game. He said, “I wonder if all this is building towards something.”
While none of this confirms the existence of a remake in the works, the timing has been too coincidental. Ubisoft could indeed be working on a trilogy package and planning on releasing it as part of its upcoming lineup of games. The series has been in limbo since 2010 when Ubisoft released the last game in the series, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.
