Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Review

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is Getting Story DLC

Ubisoft has announced the 2024 content roadmap for its critically acclaimed side-scrolling action game, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. It includes new story DLC, costumes and modes. No other details were given about the story content expect that it will release later in 2024. Throughout the year, fans can still expect frequent udpates and additions to the game.

Ubisoft revealed that this month, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will receive a free update called Warrior’s Path, which adds new outfits for Sargon as well as speedrun and permadeath modes if you want to kick the challenge up a few notches. In Spring 2024, the game will get more outfits for Sargon in addition to a free Boss Attack update, which is essentially a boss rush mode for all the major boss encounters.

Meanwhile, Summer 2024 will see the release of the free Divine Trials update which will introduce new combat, platform and puzzle challenges as well as – you guessed it – more Sargon outfits.

Interestingly, the roadmap states that the first three big updates will be free but doesn’t mention that the story DLC will be, suggesting that players might have to pay for it. We know nothing about what shape this expanded story content will take, though we assume it will be just as challenging and exciting as the base game.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown launched earlier this year for consoles and PC to a warm critical reception. Over on the review aggregate website OpenCritic, it’s currently one of the highest-rated video games of 2024, sitting with a high 87 score. Make sure you also check out our full review.
