Ubisoft has announced that the long-in-development Prince of Pesia: The Sands of Time Remake is officially coming in 2026. The news dropped at the recent Ubisoft Forward event where the company re-revealed the game with a very short teaser showing a candle being reversed in time, along with a 2026 window of release.
Unfortunately, the latest re-reveal for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake didn’t include any gameplay whatsoever, just a short cinematic that lasted no longer than ten seconds. It was enough to confirm that 2026 is the year we’ll finally see the long-awaited remake after it went through a big development overhaul under a new team at Ubisoft.

Ubisoft also dropped some exciting news for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, which launched earlier this year. A new free update is coming to the game alongside a DLC called Mask of Darkness. Elsewhere, The Rogue Prince of Persia from Evil Empire also got a spotlight at the show before the segment finally closed with The Sands of Time Remake.
