Along with the announcement of League of Legends Wild Fire came Riot Games new competitive tactical shooter called “Project A”. Of course, the title will be revealed soon but the new project is “Riot’s take on a tactical FPS game” and is not at all related to League of Legends.

The game is set in a near-future Earth and stars a range of unique characters each with their own skills and abilities. Riot claims that just like League of Legends, the studio is devoted to delivering the best experience for Project A for years to come.
The reveal showcased some awesome abilities which add layers of depth to the usual competitive shooter and deliver something truly unique on its own. Riot promises to focus heavily on Project A and its netcode and server tick rate to solve gaming’s biggest issues in the competitive landscape.
As for cheaters, Riot Games claim they have put anti-cheating methods in front of everything while developing the game and will do whatever it takes to preserve the integrity of the matches.
The game no doubt looks to take on other competitive shooters like CS:GO and Overwatch but we will have to see how it turns out. Riot Games revealed the studio will be going dark while they develop the Project A shooter but we will hear more from them in 2020.
