Project Resistance – A New Resident Evil Project to be Announced in September

A while back we reported on the news that Capcom had been hosting private playtesting for a secret Resident Evil project (which we thought could be Resident Evil 3) they had been working on. It seems the developer is ready to reveal the game as a new site called Project Resistance has gone live, emphasis on the REsistance.

According to the site, the announcement will take place during the Tokyo Game Show 2019 and will be the “world’s first look at the game”. The teaser trailer announcement will go live at 17:00 SAT.

According to the site, the game will also be playable at the event by pre-registration only and for Japanese citizens.

A lot of rumours point to the game being a Resident Evil 3 remake but right now we are not sure. Project Resistance sounds like something new and could be Resident Evil 8? Whatever it is, we will know more on 9 September 2019.
