PS4 Exclusive Days Gone Goes Gold – Unannounced DLC Confirmed

After being in development for a couple of years now, Sony Bend’s Days Gone has gone gold. “Gold” status in gaming means that the team has finished the development of the game and it can now go to manufacturers for mass production.

The game was first announced back in 2015 and follows the story of a biker names Deacon St. John as this bounty hunter travels through the apocalypse on his bike, fights massive hordes of zombies known as Freakers and struggles to keep the bandits at bay too.

The game was originally planned to release on 22 February 2019 but was delayed in late 2018 after the studio needed more time to polish it up. I played it briefly at E3 2018 and it was holding up pretty well.

It seems the game will also get some DLC which has not been revealed yet. Speaking to GamerBraves on YouTube, Sony Bend’s community manager, David Lee, talked about Days Gone DLC plans and revealed that there is a lot of potentials to create DLC for the main cast that explains and highlights their background.

“I think the main story will give that information to you. We have unannounced DLC but we cannot tell you about it yet. So keep an eye out for that. With the main story, it should be sufficient enough to tell you the characters’ backstories that make you care for them one way or another, ”

Days Gone is said to clock in at around 30 hours of gameplay which is a lot so the DLC will add to that, if and when it releases. To be honest, we are just excited to play the main game. Days Gone releases on 26 April 2019 only on PS4.
