PS5 Controller and Graphics to Feel Like a “Great Evolution”

Sony has been celebrating 25 years of PlayStation this week and was even awarded a Guinness World Record for the best-selling home console brand over 450 million units sold across PS consoles. That’s all extremely impressive but for those who don’t like living in the past, all we want to do is learn more about the PlayStation 5. While no new technical specs have been revealed, Jim Ryan did share his thoughts on the PS5 haptic controller feedback and graphics.

In October this year, we already learned that the PlayStation 5 controller will have adaptive triggers, so when you, for example, pull a bowstring with your character, you could feel the tension build. This type of PS5 haptic controller feedback seems to feel very good, according to Sony Interactive Entertainment president Jim Ryan.

In an interview in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu (as reported by Twinfinite), Jim Ryan talked about how great and exciting the new console is, specifically saying that you the combination of PS5 graphics and controller feedback will make it feel like a “great evolution” as a gaming experience.

I was very surprised by the gameplay feel that was very different compared to the current DualShock 4. This is a very promising feature. Of course, with the improvement of the graphics over PS4, I think you will feel a great evolution as a gaming experience.[/perfectpullquote]

The PlayStation 5 is set to release in Holiday 2020 and maybe we will learn more at the PlayStation Meeting scheduled to take place on 12 February 2020.
