We have yet to see any sort of teardowns of the upcoming PlayStation 5 and its accessories. There’s no doubt Sony will share one soon as the company did for the PS4 and PS4 Pro. Until then, we at least have these images to look at. Instagram account Impact Controller managed to get their hands on the PS5 DualSense controller and performed a full teardown of the device.

The photos which were uploaded to Instagram give us a closer look at the inner workings of the controller. We also get to see what is still the same.
The image which you can see down below includes a look at the various insides of the device. Starting at the top left-hand side, we can see the bottom shell attached to the main logic board. On the board, there is the microphone in the middle (the white rectangle) and at the bottom, there’s the Type-C charging port. The photo also reveals the analogue sticks which seem to be exactly the same as the DualShock 4.
Underneath that photo, we get a look at the PS5 DualSense Controller Adaptive Trigger which seems to be a whole mechanism on its own. This little device will apply pressure to the L2 and R2 triggers so players won’t be able to press them as easily as they would in certain circumstances. There’s also a look at the haptic feedback engine on the grips of the controller. Those vibration motors are responsible for delivering feedback to the player in certain games.
While the photos are not the best, this is our first look at the inside of the PS5 DualSense Controller. Sony will no doubt share more as we edge closer to the launch of the console on 12 and 19 November 2020.
