Tango Gameworks has announced that Ghostwire Tokyo won’t make its previously expected 2021 release date after all. The studio shared an update on Twiter saying that the upcoming PS5 game will now instead launch in early 2022.
While there are no specific details listed for the delay, Tango Gameworks most likely hit a wall during development especially when the studio was forced to work from home last year due to the covid-19 pandemic.

The statement says that in order to deliver the best possible experience so that players can witness an unforgettable haunted version of Tokyo, the studio needs more time to make that dream a reality. Instead of a late 2021 release window, Ghostwire Tokyo will now debut in early 2022. However, no exact release date has been announced yet.
The studio does say that they will have more to share with fans in the coming months so stay tuned for more.
