Sony and Sucker Punch Productions are gearing up to announce something inFAMOUS related. Well, according to new rumours and domain renewals that is. It has been a long time since we had a new entry in the inFAMOUS series. inFAMOUS Second Son was released back in 2014 as a PS4 exclusive followed by the bite-sized inFAMOUS First Light later that year.
XboxEra co-founder @Shpeshal_Nick, who has previously leaked the Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut content, dropped a hint on Twitter saying that there is a chance inFAMOUS might make its return this month. He does warn that gamers should take this rumour with a pinch of salt and we recommend you do the same. However, Sony has also recently renewed the inFAMOUS domain adding more speculation to the rumour mill.

Keep in mind that it is normal for a company to renew domain names. They do this annually to prevent people from taking them and holding them to ransom. Sony renewed the domain back in July this year and then again last year. This annual renewal could mean nothing.
Ok. Please take this one with a grain of salt because it’s one of the things I couldn’t get confirmed. But because I like the series I’m hoping it’s true. But there’s a chance we could see Infamous make a return at Sony’s showcase. Fingers crossed.

Yesterday David Jaffe dropped a few hints that Sony would announce two massive first-party PS5 exclusives during the PlayStation Showcase this week. With this inFAMOUS news swirling around, it might be one of those games.
Until the announcement, or until we have something more than a tweet from someone, take this with a pinch of salt. The PlayStation Showcase kicks off this Thursday at 10 pm CAT. You can tune into the event on YouTube and Twitch.
