Sony has shared a bold statement claiming the upcoming PS5 console is 100 times faster than the standard PS4. This is thanks to the console’s custom SSD which Sony has developed from the ground up.

Sony released a corporate strategy document detailing the company’s various sectors and divisions. When it came to the PS5, Sony did not hold back by sharing some of the perks the SSD brings to the table.

While the statement is bold, we have yet to see any of these claims in action. Sony has been silent on the next-gen PS5 console and its “best” features. The company is reportedly planning a full reveal of the console in early June. In addition, we will finally get to see the launch lineup, the design and more. Everything Sony has said about the PS5 is impressive. However, seeing it in action is a whole different story.
