There has been a lot of confusion today in regards to the new PS5 game Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. After the announcement last night, gamers thought it was the sequel to the 2019 release. We then heard it was an expansion to be attached to a remaster of the original game. However, that is not actually the case.
Sony and Insomniac Games have cleared the air claiming the upcoming game is a separate game completely. Miles Morales is not an expansion or remaster but a new video game. In addition, the game is not a sequel either. Instead, it is a standalone experience similar to Uncharted: Lost Legacy. Those who played the Uncharted spinoff will remember it was a smaller experience with a cheaper price tag. The upcoming game is said to follow the same path.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is the next adventure in the Marvel’s Spider-Man universe. We will reveal more about this standalone game at a future date. #MilesMoralesPS5 pic.twitter.com/GOTAvNhUaF

While the original Marvel’s Spider-Man took around 40 hours to complete, the upcoming Miles Morales will be shorter.
