A few weeks after its initial announcement for PS5 in December last year, the developers of the upcoming looter slasher RPG Godfall released a short gif showcasing some of the next-gen game’s gameplay. Today, another very short gameplay snippet has been leaked. This time in the form of a video that has been taken from an unreleased gameplay trailer meant for internal use.

It seems the full unreleased trailer was leaked online this afternoon showcasing even more gameplay. The uploader claims the footage is not PS5 and is from before Sony and Gearbox Software stepped in to help develop the game for next-gen hardware. Still, it is great to watch… even in 480p

The video was uploaded to Reddit and shows off a brief few seconds of actual gameplay including sword clashes, fancy particle effects and some superb lighting. Unfortunately, it is all over before you really get to see anything but watch it a few times and you will be able to piece together a bit more.
Godfall is an upcoming PS5 and Epic Games Store next-gen title that merges the looter mechanics of Borderlands and Destiny with action RPG mechanic gameplay. Players will be able to choose from one of three classes and swap combat roles on the go.

The game is said to make full use of the PS5 SSD creating a seamless world where players can instantly join their friends, never experience a loading screen and move from one location to another with ease.
Godfall is planned for a holiday 2020 release date alongside the PS5. We will no doubt see more of this next-gen game at Sony’s console reveal next month.
