PUBG is getting its own spinoff mobile-only game for iOS and Android. PUBG: New State is a futuristic battle royale that takes place years in the future compared to the current massively-popular shooter. It is set in 2051 on a new map called Troi and aims to deliver a refreshing new approach to the formula thanks to its new tech, future-based weapons and more.
From what we know about it, PUBG: New State will follow the traditional battle royale recipe but the gear and lore will enable it to stand out from the crowd. For example, players can equip advanced tech weapons, deploy drones and even equip combat shields.

As it stands, PUBG: New State is only coming to mobile in the form of iOS and Android. In addition, it has been developed by PUBG Studio instead of being outsourced to the PUBG Mobile developer Tencent. This marks the third release in the popular series.
According to the studio, PUBG: New State will deliver ultra-realistic graphics that push the limits of mobile gaming. The game is set to launch later in 2021 with alpha tests set for later this year.
