Rage 2, developed by Avalanche and id Software, and published by Bethesda, releases tomorrow (14 May) for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. There will be a day one update (version 1.02) that weighs in at roughly 13GB in case you were wondering. After the game releases, Bethesda and the developers have some big plans with free and paid content for the game. Bethesda has revealed the Rage 2 post-launch content plan and it sounds pretty great.

From everything we’ve seen so far, Rage 2 looks pretty awesome and should rectify the issues from the original game, that wasn’t received all too well. Further, Bethesda’s roadmap for post-launch content does look great at the moment, with free challenges and events. The first challenges will kick off this month, as well as the first post-launch event called “Bring the Ruckus”.
In June, new challenges, cheats and two new events will be added for free. One event will feature a pilotable mech as a new vehicle type and the other event will add a massive new enemy to the game. This will all still be free to everyone who owns Rage 2.
In July, we will get yet another big free update that includes more challenges and a new event called “Global Worming” which I suspect will have a big, badass worm to defeat.
Starting in August, the first paid DLC will get released alongside free content such as challenges and an event. The second DLC will launch sometime in “Fall 2019” and this update will also include free challenges and an event. Check out the Rage 2 post-launch content roadmap below.
