Rainbow Six Quarantine Teaser Trailer Hints At Siege Tie-In

Rainbow Six Quarantine is Ubisoft’s latest Rainbow Six game, giving players a new twist on the Rainbow Six franchise. Rainbow Six Siege continues to exist, but Ubisoft needed something to fill the void they have left in many fans. The Rainbow Six community has been asking for a sequel to the Vegas for some time now, but we will have to make do with Quarantine’s offerings.

Fans of the series will remember the Outbreak limited-time mode that was present in Siege. The mode had players battle against infested beings, with new abilities, gadgets, and guns. The limited-time mode didn’t last for too long, but Ubisoft clearly had plans for those assets.

Rainbow Six Quarantine seems to be a focus on Outbreak’s co-op nature, with the game’s creator saying that the game will be what Siege is to PvP. Except, this title aims to focus more on the PvE aspect. That will mean that the rumours may have been true all along.

If the game is meant to be like Siege, but in a PvE aspect. We can expect Rainbow Six Quarantine to have Operators who get specialised gadgets and weapons to tackle the alien-like creatures.

The trailer showed us a first-person perspective of what looks to be a playable character. There was a liquid-like pattern on that person’s arm, which leads me to believe that this may have been one of the first Operators to be introduced into the game.

Thankfully, the developers say you don’t have to be Rainbow Six Siege player to play Quarantine. Eagle eye viewers may notice that Vigil and Ela were present in the trailer, which means that this is an extension of the Siege universe. That should get Rainbow Six Siege fans drawing up some interesting theories before more information about Quarantine surfaces.
