Some people think you can never have enough RGB lighting and I am one of those people. Until now, Razer’s beautiful Chroma RGB lighting is confined to gaming peripherals and a few toasters. Now, the gaming peripheral giant will add their Chroma RGB lighting to cars, specifically, smart cars and they are starting with the a limited edition ES6 Night Explorer for the Chinese market. No, this is not an April Fool’s joke and you can check out the video showcasing the NIO x Razer ES6 Night Explorer with Chroma RGB lighting from Razer at the bottom of this article.

You won’t be seeing these RGB smart cars driving around in South Africa any time soon, however, as there will only be 88 of these in the world and they will be for the Chinese market. The number 8 is considered to be very lucky in China and I reckon Razer is hoping that these vehicles are received well, as the company reportedly plans to extend this collaboration to future smart car models.
Razer explains that:
[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”#33ff55″ class=”” size=”22″]Razer Chroma lighting for smart cars will enable customizable lighting effects for the passenger compartment, audio visualization features, synchronization, and game integrations by tapping into the ambient RGB lighting controls of NIO smart electric vehicles for a truly immersive experience.[/perfectpullquote]
At the time of writing, it is unclear how the gaming integrations will work. Maybe you will be able to plug in some consoles or a PC and as you play games, the lights will change depending on the actions you take, but that is just a guess at this point.
