Red Dead Redemption 2 has been out on consoles for over a year now and it landed on the Rockstar Game Launcher in late October too but if you have been waiting for the Steam release then you are in luck. Rockstar Games announced that the horse-riding simulator will release on Steam on 5 December 2019 which is just about a week away.

The game has yet to get its own Steam page where you can wishlist it or pre-order it but it will be up closer to the launch. Up to now, if you picked up Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, no matter from the Epic Games Store, GOG.com or elsewhere, you had to use the Rockstar Launcher in order to play it. This caused issues for many during the launch of the game after hundreds of bugs were reported often leaving the game unplayable for many.

However, Rockstar has been working hard with optimization patches, bug hotfixes and more while trying to sort out the problems and it has been going well but it is far from perfect. Issues still persist throughout the game be it crashing, visual glitches or corrupt files caused by hardware combinations. We, however, did not receive the game to test so this if going off what we have heard.
The Red Dead Redemption 2 Steam pricing has not yet to be revealed. However, you can expect it to cost around R999, the game price as the Rockstar Launcher version. We will keep you updated on the Steam launch of the game and how it is holding up for early adopters close to the launch date.
