Red Dead Redemption 2 releases on October 26 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it is without a doubt, one of this year’s most anticipated titles. It promises to be not only one of the most beautiful adventures ever created for the electronic playground but also one of the biggest. With the limited storage space available on console, it begs the question, what will the file size be?

Earlier this month, the PlayStation 4 file size leaked via a bundle advert that stated it would require hard drive space of over 105GB to download. A Gamestop ad also suggested that the retail version could require two discs to load.

Rockstar has yet to confirm the download size and the retail details, but according to updated details on the Microsoft Store we now have the official file size for the Xbox One version. According to the store details, you’ll need approximately 88.57 GB of free hard drive space to download the game.

Red Dead Redemption 2’s massive open world includes dense forests, massive plains, snow-covered mountain passes, swamps, big and small cities, and a wide variety of wildlife. Then there’s the 23-member strong Dutch van der Linde gang, the opposing gangs and lawmen, the unique flavour and population of each of the towns, and so much more.

You play as Arthur Morgan, a member of the van der Linde gang. After a robbery goes wrong in the industrialized settlement of Blackwater, the gang is forced to flee.

You can play the game in third-person view, or switch to first-person on the fly. Red Dead Redemption 2 also has a multiplayer component, Red Dead Online, and the beta kicks off in November for everyone who owns the base game.
