Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC is Having a Rocky Launch

Red Dead Redemption 2 launched on PC yesterday and it has been a bit rocky. Some of these bugs are quite hilarious while others are causing some unhappiness in the community.

One notable one is a chunky Arthur Morgan which causes the main character to bloat and look like he put on a few extra pounds. The big issue was the “Red Dead Redemption 2 exited unexpectedly” or the “Rockstar Launcher exited unexpectedly”. Many users are also complaining about the game being unable to start even in safe mode and while the game just hangs, it maxes out your CPU.

Rockstar released a number of fixes for these issues including the usual “update your graphics card driver” and “run the game in administrator”. According to Reddit, disabling your antivirus also helps with the CPU load.

Rockstar Games did release an update for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC which has fixed the Rockstar Launcher issues. The patch also fixes the different crashes and errors that popped up while playing the game as well as the need to verify player data. However, some users are still experiencing issues.

No doubt Rockstar Games is on top of this by releasing new updates and crash fixes as soon as possible. We will keep you updated on this. Check out the launch trailer for the game down below;
