Capcom hosted a Resident Evil Showcase event last night where the developer announced some interesting new details regarding the upcoming Resident Evil 4 remake. The game got a brand new story trailer, gameplay video and details on the game’s Collector’s Edition were announced during the stream too. Capcom also confirmed all the platforms and the release date for the game.
First off, the Resident Evil 4 remake will release on 24 March 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The game will offer free upgrades for users who purchase the PS4 version and upgrade to the PS5 console at a later date.

Resident Evil 4 remake will also come in a range of editions. The game comes with special pre-order bonuses that include a Gold Attachment Case and a Handgun Ammo Charm. The versions include the following:

Capcom says the game will retail from $59,99 for the standard edition across all platforms. The Collector’s Edition will set you back $249. This is similar to Resident Evil Village’s price tag as it includes similar items.
Apart from being a complete remake, Resident Evil 4 will also include new gameplay elements across the board. Capcom says that almost everything in the game has been reworked with new content. Enemies will attack with new patterns, Leon can now move while aiming down his sites and even has a new parry.
