The Resident Evil 4 remake has received over 12 minutes of brand new gameplay walking players through chapter 5 of the main campaign. The extensive gameplay reveals the game’s striking visuals, improved and updated gameplay as well as familiar locations. The anticipated survival horror game is set to launch next month.
As part of Game Informer’s ongoing stories covering the Resident Evil 4 remake, we got 12 minutes of new gameplay to digest. The gameplay mostly runs through the intense church and cemetery sequences, culminating in a clash with Luis Serra in a cabin. As you can tell, a lot has been expanded upon from the original game including the size of some locations, the layout and new objectives. The core of the experience remains intact and as frightening as ever, though.

The official description of Resident Evil 4 provided by Capcom reads:
“Survival is just the beginning. Six years have passed since the biological disaster in Raccoon City. Agent Leon S. Kennedy, one of the survivors of the incident, has been sent to rescue the president’s kidnapped daughter. He tracks her to a secluded European village, where there is something terribly wrong with the locals. And the curtain rises on this story of daring rescue and grueling horror where life and death, terror and catharsis intersect.
