Resident Evil Village Gold Edition Trailer Shows Playable Lady Dimitrescu

Capcom has released the Mercenaries trailer for Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, highlighting gameplay from playable characters in the mode such as Heisenberg, Chris Redfield and the internet’s favourite tall vampire, Lady Dimitrescu. The Gold Edition will come with the expanded story DLC, Shadows of Rose, as well as a new third-person mode for the main campaign.

The new Mercenaries trailer includes a look at three additional playable characters as “Additional Orders”, featuring Heisenberg wielding his electrical hammer; Chris Redfield punching things as usual; and Lady Dimitrescu, who slashes enemies with her claws and is able to even throw chairs at them.

Capcom seems to have put a lot of effort in balancing all three characters. Heisenberg is the slower of the three, but sports a very aggressive playstyle while Chris Redfield is your typical action hero, coming equipped with an arsenal of weapons as well as his fists. Lady Dimitrescu, on the other hand, favours faster attacks but seemingly deals less damage. However, this is offset by her height, which appears to give her the upper hand of managing crowds of enemies more effectively.

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will include the base game along with a few additional features:

  • Third Person Mode allows you to play the main story mode from a new perspective.
  • The Mercenaries Additional Orders introduces new playable characters and stages.
  • Shadows of Rose continues the story of Ethan’s daughter, Rosemary.

Resident Evil Village released last year to critical acclaim, earning a Game of the Year nomination at The Game Awards as well as receiving plenty of accolades. Critics and fans praised the campaign’s circus of inventive horrors that moved at a faster pace than Resident Evil 7: Biohazard but also offered much more enemy variety and locations.

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will launch on 28 October 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Check out the new trailer below.
