Capcom’s upcoming survival horror, Resident Evil Village, might be hyped based on the franchise name alone, but the developer has smartly put the game’s central tall vampire lady villain, Lady Alcina Dimitrescu, at the forefront of the marketing – whether intentionally or unintentionally.

The internet has certainly spoken enough about their, uhm, appreciation of Lady Dimitrescu, but Capcom is listening. It looks like massive life-sized standees of the villain are being sent to certain retailers.

Spotted by Twitter user AllGamesDelta, Capcom Asia has already begun sending Resident Evil Village marketing standees of Lady Dimitrescu – with the most eye-catching feature of this stand being its gargantuan height, matching her actual in-game size of 9’6″. You can see the user (pictured below) standing next to the standee for size comparison. At the moment, only retailers in Asia seem to have these standees though, as another fan asked Capcom when the rest of the world would be able to get their hands on the standee.

The internet’s obsession with Lady Dimitrescu began when her height became a trending topic online, which Capcom has acknowledged since. Check out the massive standees below:

Resident Evil Village is a direct sequel to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and will see the return of protagonist Ethan Winters. This time, he’s dealing with a lot more than just an infected hillbilly family in the Bayous. Ethan is challenged by the charming Lady Dimitrescu and her vampiric daughters while staying in a remote village, in the shadow of a gigantic castle.

Lady Dimitrescu caught a lot of traction online when her height was revealed to be 9’6″. Well, that plus her many alluring features really resonated with people, it seems. Capcom entertained the internet due to her sudden popularity, and are continuing to do so with this really clever bit of marketing.
