Resident Evil Village Lady Dimitrescu Mercenaries Multiplayer

Resident Evil Village Mercenaries Mode Will Shrink Lady Dimitrescu

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition is just a couple of weeks away from launch, offering the base game in addition to the story expansion Shadows of Rose, a third-person perspective and the long-awaited Mercenaries multiplayer mode. Players will be able to play with the game’s various heroes and villains in Mercenaries, including the internet’s favourite tall vampire, Lady Dimitrescu. However, Capcom had to make a few size adjustments to make her playable in the mode.

In a recent interview with Polygon, Resident Evil Village Winters’ Expansion director Kento Kinoshita revealed that they had to shrink Lady Dimitrescu’s imposingly tall height in order to make her more playable in Mercenaries mode. While she’ll still be the tallest character in the mode, the size change was made for her to avoid “bumping into the ceiling.”

Kinoshita’s full comment on shrinking Lady Dimitrescu reads:

“Lady Dimitrescu’s height brought up a lot of challenges during development, but in the end we were able to implement her with a giant stature, taller than any of the other characters. For The Mercenaries, it’s necessary that the player can control their character easily, and to make that possible we did adjust her height to a little under nine feet tall.”

Lady Dimitrescu’s new height in Mercenaries will be just under nine feet, which is still quite tall but not as tall as her towering 9.6-foot size in the game’s single-player campaign. Alongside Lady D, players can also choose Heisenberg or Chris Redfield in the mode. However, you’d probably want to play as the tall vampire lady as she can throw furniture at enemies.

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition launches on 28 October 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. See what Mercenaries offers in the latest trailer below.
