Resident Evil Village, the acclaimed 2021 survival horror game, might finally be heading to Xbox Game Pass. This arrives in the form of a leak reported by a Polish outlet, which lists the game as being available on Game Pass despite no announcement from Xbox yet.
Polish Xbox outlet XGP recently reported that Resident Evil Village appeared on a recent Capcom publisher sale, clearly listed as being available on Xbox Game Pass. The listing on the store was quickly removed, but XGP managed to take a screenshot of it before it was taken down.

Capcom have yet to officially announce any plans for Resident Evil Village to join Xbox Game Pass. However, it’s possible that Sony struck some kind of deal last year that prevented the game from appearing on any other services for a period of at least one year. Since we’re approaching the anniversary of the game’s release, this listing makes sense.
If this alleged exclusivity deal is true, then we’ll likely see Resident Evil Village drop on Xbox Game Pass sometime next month or early May. Xbox previously added Resident Evil 7: Biohazard to Game Pass, so this new addition seems like an ideal fit.
Resident Evil Village released on 7 May 2021 for most major consoles (both current and last generation) and PC. The game received critical acclaim upon release, with particular praise going to its standout visuals, art direction, strong characterisation, variety of horrors and improved first-person gameplay. It would later be nominated for Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2021.
We’ll only know if this leak is true once Capcom and Xbox make an official statement on the matter. For the time being, take this with a pinch of salt.
Resident Evil Village is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
