Riot Games will be making it easier for users to gain access to a Valorant Closed Beta key starting today. The game developer announced that while in the past only select Valorant Twitch streamers had keys to give away, the developer has now allowed all streamers with access to the game, keys to give away. As long as those streamers are actively live streaming Valorant and turn on the in-game drops feature, they will be able to hand out keys to viewers.

This change will allow for more of a chance to obtain a key as fans will be able to gain access to the game by just watching different streamers and not just the select few paid Valorant streamers. Riot Games also announced that they have taken steps to grant access to fans who have been watching streams day and night in hopes of obtaining a Valorant closed beta access key. The developer sorted through thousands of the most dedicated Twitch users and manually given them access. Riot Games is also increasing the server capacity for Valorant by 25% in order to accommodate the new players that will be arriving in the next few days. The developer is ready to take them on and welcome them into the game. However, Riot is still monitoring the current situation regarding botters and account sellers and banning them as soon as they pop up. A fair warning for those looking to buy an account instead of earning access through Twitch.
The Valorant closed beta has been a massive success so far on Twitch. The event has amassed 16 million hours watched. The beta clocked in 34 million hours watched in a single day. It will no doubt climb to even higher success as the testing phase expands in the coming weeks.
