RoboCop: Rogue City Delayed – New Gameplay Overview Revealed

RoboCop: Rogue City won’t release in June as originally planned. During the Nacon Connect stream, which played host to other reveals including The Lord of the Rings Gollum content, the publisher says the game will now release in September instead of June.

Alongside the delay, Nacon also released some fresh new gameplay for RoboCop: Rogue City which gives us a glimpse at the world, combat and detective work.

RoboCop is seen asking around for information regarding a drug syndicate. Once he finds out where they are, he then raids the drug operation in the basement of an arcade. One thing to pay attention to is the sheer level of gore in the gameplay. It definitely ties into the movies perfectly.

We don’t know much else about the game at the moment. Developer Teyon hasn’t shared any details on the game’s story. We only know that RoboCop: Rogue City will tell an original tale following the cyborg police officer, who is once again played by Peter Weller, as he attempts to rid the city of crime.

RoboCop: Rogue City is launching on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC sometime in September.

Welcome to Detroit; crime runs rampant as the city lies on the edge of ruin, people fighting for scraps as others live extravagant lives of luxury. Control of the Detroit Police Department is given to the Omni Consumer Products corporation in an attempt to restore order. You are that solution, RoboCop, a cyborg tasked with protecting the city. The triumphant return of RoboCop wouldn’t feel right without the man who brought so much life into the role, and we’re excited to reveal that Peter Weller will be performing voiceover work on the game. Enjoy this first look at gameplay and for the record, “dead or alive, you’re coming with me!”
