Rockstar Games Quietly Updates GTA 6 YouTube Playlist

Rockstar Games has quietly updated its YouTube playlist for Grand Theft Auto 6, suggesting that there could be a new trailer on the way. The developer hasn’t updated this playlist since the first trailer arrived last December. Given that it’s been almost a year since the initial reveal trailer – and the fact that GTA 6 is still on track to launch in fall 2025, as far as Take-Two Interactive is concerned – now seems like an ideal time for another look at one of the most anticipated games releasing next year.

As spotted by Reddit user hushpolocaps69, Rockstar Games recently updated its GTA 6 YouTube playlist over the weekend, which could very well mean that a new trailer is coming soon. “Based on their pattern for second trailers, they typically debut the second trailer around the one year anniversary of the debut trailer,” the Redditor mentioned.

The reveal trailer for GTA 6 was mostly cinematic, showing clips and scenes from the upcoming game without any actual gameplay. The second trailer will probably give us a few slices of gameplay so we can see the game, which looks to be quite a visual stunner, running in real-time.

GTA 6 will feature two protagonists in Lucia and Jason, a Bonnie and Clyde-like criminal couple on the run from the law. Not much is known about the story but it will once again take place in the Miami-inspired Vice City, one of the most requested returning locations in the GTA franchise.

In related news, Take-Two Interactive says it’s not really worried about the Xbox Series S version of GTA 6, a console which has notoriously given a few developers some grief. After a round of rumours claiming that GTA 6 had been delayed to 2026, Take-Two came out last month to clarify that the game was still on track to launch in fall 2025 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. A PC version hasn’t been announced yet and won’t launch at the same time.
