GTA 6 Reveal Trailer When Where to Watch Rockstar Games

Rockstar Has Met With Roblox and Fortnite Creators to Produce GTA 6 Content

Leading up to the launch of GTA 6, Rockstar has reportedly met with top Roblox and Fortnite content creators about the potential to build custom experiences for GTA 6. A new report from Digiday claims that Rockstar will allow creators access to GTA 6’s environments and assets in order to help build sandbox worlds.

Three insiders claim to have knowledge of this partnership and have all stated the same thing. The main idea here is that creators across Fortnite and Roblox can generate revenue by receiving a portion of their virtual item sales. Keep in mind that Rockstar is banking on the fact that these large-scale creators will produce content in GTA 6 itself and essentially move their audiences over to Grand Theft Auto 6.

The process is very similar to GTA Online, which currently has custom modding tools for creators to build new game modes in the game. Creators then get a cut by charging users subscription fees to participate in these modes.

We don’t kow if Rockstar wants to do the same thing, but the report seems to point in that direction. Sources also claim that nothing has been signed and set in stone yet. The conversations have been left open-ended according to the report, meaning it might not happen after all.

The roadblock here is likely the age gap in audiences. If Rockstar wants to take Roblox and Fortnite audiences away from these existing games by using content creators, they need to keep in mind that most of these players are likely well under the age of 18. Given that GTA 6 is an “M” rated game, perhaps asking Roblox players to follow their content creator might not be the best idea.

We’ll have to see how this all pans out. Take-Two claims that GTA 6 is still expected to launch in 2025. The game is claimed to be launching before Borderlands 4 which is now dated for 23 September. It has been over a year since Rockstar shared an update on GTA 6. The last trailer dropped back on 5 December 2023.
