Rockstar Staff Devastated Following Historical GTA 6 Leak – Will Respond Today

The biggest leak in video game history took place this past weekend after a hacker found his way into a Rockstar Slack group and stole close to one hundred gameplay videos for the upcoming GTA 6 game. The leak has been the headlines of news since the event took place early on Sunday morning and gamers all over the world have been finding new clips to watch of an early build of GTA 6.

While many were sceptical regarding the leak at first, it was definitely GTA 6. There was no doubt about it. However, Rockstar has since spoken out about the leak through various sources.

According to insiders, many close to Rockstar report on unsettling energy at the company at the moment. Several sources claim that Rockstar is aware of the situation and that the developers and staff on the project are “devastated” by the leak.

Rockstar has yet to officially comment on the GTA 6 leak. However, the team have begun addressing the videos and pulling down as many leaked clips as possible. Over on YouTube, the majority of the leaks are now gone. Twitter videos are still around but it is just a matter of time before Rockstar and Take-Two hit those with copyright claims too.

In a report, Twitter user LegacyKillaHD claims that Rockstar will respond to the leaks today (as on Monday). The staff at the company are currently waiting to see what management has to say regarding the leaks and what the plan is going forward.

The hacker, on the other hand, is currently asking Rockstar to contact him on Telegram. The user was spotted on GTAF asking Rockstar to get in touch. At the moment, reports claim that the hacker currently has the source code for GTA 6 too which is probably why he wants to speak to Rockstar in order to arrange some sort of compensation for its return.

We will update you on the situation as it plays out. We’ll likely hear an update from Take-Two and Rockstar much later today. In the meantime, catch up on the gameplay leaks here.
