Considering the fact that Rockstar developed a whole “one” new game over the course of this current generation, it comes as no surprise that the developer is looking to branch out. The publisher and developer are teaming up with LA: Noire The VR Case Files developer to work on a new open-world VR game.

The announcement was spotted on Linkedin. Australian developer Video Games Deluxe said “having finished the critically received LA Noire: The VR Case Files, we are now gearing up for a new project; a AAA open-world title in VR for Rockstar.

The developer opened up a handful of new job openings including a senior programmer role, engine programmer, designer, animator and more. Furthermore, each of these new job openings relates to the new “open-world AAA VR project” at Rockstar. However, no further details were shared about the project.
Knowing our luck, Rockstar is just porting GTA V to VR. Considering the developer has become a one-trick pony, it would come as no surprise. Just kidding, it is most likely a new ambitious VR game for next-gen hardware. Sounds quite interesting indeed.
