One of the best roguelike games ever made, Rogue Legacy is officially getting a sequel. Cellar Door Games confirmed on Twitter that Rogue Legacy 2 is now in the works as the developer shared information on the upcoming game including a short video clip and a handful of screenshots
While little is known about the sequel right now, at least we got a glimpse at some parts of Rogue Legacy 2 including the return of the hero selection screen that let you choose from three different heroes with unique weaknesses and strengths.
For those of you who don’t know, Rogue Legacy is a 2D platforming roguelike game. Players take on the role of a knight going through a randomly-generated castle. If you die then you are dead and need to restart the quest as an heir of your previous character. The game features a unique class system, items and equipment to buy on your quest and awesome enemies and bosses to face off against that add the perfect level of challenge to the mix.
