Roller Champions is a 3v3 Free-to-Play Game Coming to PC

Roller Champions was just announced by Ubisoft at E3, 2019, after what seemed like months since its details leaked. Well, it’s free-to-play but seems to bring a lot to the table in terms of its competitive nature. Well, for a roller derby game.

Roller Champions aims to be a 3v3 game where two groups will race around a track, in an attempt to throw a ball through a ring. However, the lap counter resets if the opposing team knocks your team members down to grab the ball.

The game gives off a very distinct Rocket League references, with the game’s being more focused on skills than the points scored. As I said earlier, the game is free-to-play, so that does mean there may be an attempt at monetisation occurring when the game launches.

Roller Champions is scheduled to be released in 2020, but a demo is available until the 14th of June, 2019. Well, only for PC at the moment. There isn’t any indication as to whether it will release on other platforms, but Ubisoft won’t risk alienating their communities via platforms. Expect console release announcements soon.

This seems like a very unique multiplayer experience. Players will have the luxury of being able to try the game shortly after its announcement, which is pretty lucky for us. We’ll have to dig deep into Roller Champions to see what it offers at the moment, but will have to wait for the full release sometime in 2020.

Ubisoft seems to be covering a wide variety of games, whether it be single player or multiplayer titles.
