Ubisoft is ready to launch Roller Champions. The game was announced way back in 2019 during E3 and even went into closed alpha testing shortly after. Many thought the game was dead but Ubisoft won’t miss an opportunity to launch a free-to-play live service game, would they? Starting on 25 May, players on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Switch, Amazon Luna and Stadia can jump into Roller Champions.
Ubisoft says there’s no dedicated PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version of Roller Champions so the game is only playable through backwards compatibility. Roller Champions is a 3v3 PvP game that combines skating with racing, tackling and a bit of foul play.

In Roller Champions, players skate around a track while carrying a ball which they need to toss into the goal for points. Other players can steal the ball from you by tackling and beating you down. The team that scores the most wins but there are cool moves to perform and tricks that lets you skate up walls and stuff too.
Of course, Roller Champions being a free-to-play game means you can fully customize your player with outfits and more. There’s also a season pass that costs money called the Roller Pass that contains unique items. When you’re not on the track you can then mess around with your friends at the skatepark. Here you can meet up, play mini-games and more.
