Ahead of its release on 27 January 2022, NACON and Eko Software has released some new details regarding Rugby 22. The latest info drop is related to the game’s national teams which confirms that the All Blacks have been added to the game’s roster.
NACON also says that other major national teams have been added to the Rugby 22 license. These include The Wallabies, the official Australian team, France Rugby, Flying Fijians and more.

According to NACOn, Rugby 22 sees a wide range of improvements over the previous game, Rugby 20. This includes making the AI more realistic, new difficulty modes and visual improvements that make the players look more realistic thanks to photogrammetry. In addition, the game has seen major improvements to the general gameplay.

To celebrate the announcement of the All Blacks joining the roster, the publisher has shared a new teaser trailer for the team. Just don’t expect to see any gameplay at all. In fact, we have yet to see a single screenshot for the upcoming game yet. Rugby 22 is set to release on 27 January 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Hopefully, we can expect to see some actual gameplay footage before that.
