A new detailed leak could give us an idea of what is to come in the next Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Keep in mind that this is indeed a rumour and should be taken as one until confirmed.

According to the leak, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is scheduled for release at the end of next year, holiday 2021. This is not the first time we have heard this rumour before. It is also set to be revealed this year along with the rest of Sony’s PS5 lineup for the next few years ahead.

The game will be a full single-player experience just like the original but with a few changes. For one, it will take place in winter and set a few months after the events of the original. The game will be set in both Queens and Brooklyn and players will take on the role of both Peter Parker and Miles Morales at times.

Insomniac Games is working on a mechanic that allows players to switch between the two characters during the game. The world will be bigger thanks to the power of the PS5 and allow players to enter buildings which will open up new traversal opportunities to the player. There will be a new web-chain ability that will let players target specific objects and swing to them all in a fast lightning movement.

As for the story, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is said to feature Eddie Brock as a major role in the game. However, the leak reveals that Harry Osborn will be the game’s Venom this time around which will give the story a unique take on the character. Other villains such as Carnage and Mysterio are also said to appear.

Those of you who played the original Marvel’s Spider-Man will remember the ending and how it lines up with the above story details. Again, this is a rumour, for now, to take it with a pinch of salt.
