According to developer Volition, the game will arrive with a handful of new features including HDR and physically based rendering. Both of these will allow the game to create more realistic lighting effects. The developer also remodelled many of the game’s assets at a higher polygon count so they will look smoother and more detailed. The same goes for the in-game objects and environments will have also been slightly improved.
Saints Row: The Third Remastered will also come with all the original DLC which released for the game during its release period. This includes DLC packs such as Genki Bowl VII, Gangstas in Space, The Trouble with Clones and more. According to reports, the developers decided to remaster the third game over the first two due to technical complications. Apparently, the first two games provided challenging obstacles due to their older game code while the third release’s recent code was easier to work with.
Saints Row: The Third Remastered will keep players busy until THQ hopefully announces a new game in the series which they are currently developing.
