Even though Samsung leaked its own Galaxy Note 20 device last week, the company still plans on announcing the upcoming smartphone in the Unpacked event in August. Samsung announced that on 5 August 2020, the smartphone maker will host a new Unpacked that will play host to the new Galaxy Note 20 and according to reports, a new Galaxy Fold. While Samsung has yet to share a specific time for the event, users can watch it live on the official site
The teaser is predictable and matches the leaked copper Samsung Galaxy Note 20 which popped up on the official website last week. The new note flagship will include a triple-camera array packing a periscope lens and the 4th sensor with laser autofocus.
Reports claim there will be two new models in the range; a smaller and larger one. Although details regarding screen sizes have not leaked yet. Spec-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is rumoured to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or 865 Plus. The company will also make 5G the default for the new devices in addition to the 120Hz display. Expect a new S-Pen with some fancy new gestures too.
Lastly, the company is rumoured to announce a new Galaxy Z Fold 2 which will be a successor to last year’s trainwreck device. It is said to pack a 7.7-inch display, a cut-out internal camera and an improved CPU. Although detailed specs have yet to be released. Furthermore, there could also be a Galaxy Z Flip 5G device boasting well, 5G support.
Keep your eyes peeled on 5 August 2020 for the full announcement. We will share anything we learn closer to the time.
