Scarlet Nexus is out tomorrow, 25 June on PS5, PS4, Xbox and PC and if you haven’t played the demo yet then you should. I recently covered it here where I break down the game’s intense JRPG mechanics, over-the-top combat and awesome powers. If you’re on the fence about the game then you definitely need to give the demo a try and feel how amazing the game is.
Scarlet Nexus is also a stylish game. It packs this futuristic techno vibe to it with an electronic soundtrack and some rather flashy characters.

To celebrate the launch of the game tomorrow, Bandai Namco released a cool live-action trailer. It is not the best trailer ever released but it kinda gives you a little bit more insight into the game’s plot. Basically, humans are discovered to have a new psionic hormone in their brain. This grants people superpowers of sorts and changes the world as we know it. However, mutants called “Others” begin to descend from the sky one day with a hunger for these new powerful brains.
Check out the trailer down below. Keep in mind that while this was released last night, it still for some reason says the demo is available first one Xbox. It is actually live on PlayStation and Xbox. Maybe this was edited a while back?
Bandai Namco describes the game as:
“In the far distant future, a psionic hormone has been discovered in the human brain, granting people extra-sensory powers and changing the world as we know it.
As humanity enters this new era, deranged mutants known as Others begin to descend from the sky with a hunger for human brains. Impervious to conventional weapons, those with acute extra-sensory abilities, known as psychics, are our only chance to fight the onslaught from above and preserve humanity.
Since that fateful day psychics have been scouted for their talents and recruited to the Other Suppression Force, humanity’s last line of defense.
