Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Team Ninja have announced that the upcoming action-RPG, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, will receive a second demo later this month. The demo is expected to hit both consoles and PC on 24 February.
Unlike the last time-limited demo, this new demo for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will be available on PC via Steam as well as the Microsoft Store in addition to Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Save data and progress in the new demo will be carried over to the final game. Those who complete the demo will also earn the “Crouching Dragon Helmet” DLC for the full game. It’s unclear what the contents of the new Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty demo will be but we’ll likely get a few more boss fights and environments to explore.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty was first announced last year by Nioh and Ninja Gaiden studio Team Ninja. It will once again be an action-RPG with pretty brutal and challenging gameplay, but this time it’s exchanging the Japanese mythology of the Nioh series for Chinese mythology. This includes battles against various Chinese myths, creatures and enemies as well as settings largely inspired by and set in the Three Kingdoms.
The official Steam description for the game reads:
“Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a dramatic, action-packed story of a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty where demons plague the Three Kingdoms. Players fight off deadly creatures and enemy soldiers using swordplay based on the Chinese martial arts, attempting to overcome the odds by awakening the true power from within. Wo Long refers to a crouching dragon, and also refers to a hero or person of greatness who is not yet known. This is the story of officers, who will later become heroes, during their ‘unknown’ period, and also the story of a protagonist’s rise from being a ‘nobody’.”
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty releases on 3 March 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. It will also launch day one on Xbox Game Pass.
