Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Launch Trailer

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Launch Trailer Will Give Soulsborne Fans Chills

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice releases on 22 March 2019 and we have already prepared to die over and over again. From Software, for the two of you who aren’t aware, is the developer behind the extremely difficult, yet fair, Souls games and Bloodborne. Unlike the latter title, Sekiro is being published by Activision and will release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. There’s no exclusivity here and that’s great because if the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice launch trailer is anything to go by (it gave me chills this morning), the game should be on everyone’s wishlist.

Before we get to the trailer, remember that you still have some time to enter the competition above, so go ahead and enter now because the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice PS4 Pro console is arguably the best-looking console ever and there are only 40 of them in the world.

Now, onto the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice launch trailer (embedded at the bottom of this article) which showcases some extremely intense fights that will require lightning reflexes, as well as some interesting and mysterious lore as narrated by the protagonist’s master.

For those who don’t know, Sekiro deviates from the Soulsborne games in multiple ways. There is no multiplayer, you can’t customize your character and you can die and get back up again once, straight into the fight to surprise your foes. There’s also an interesting poise mechanic, where if you break an enemy’s poise, you can deliver an instant, fatal blow. Your main weapon is a katana and it will remain your weapon for the entirety of the game, while the “one-armed wolf” you play with can still gain XP, it won’t increase the character’s stats, but instead, unlock new skills. Then, there’s also the prosthetic arm, which you can use with multiple gadgets to traverse environments and take down foes in creative ways.

This means that you will have to master the katana as a true shinobi in order to survive and farming won’t give the player such a clear advantage. As a Soulsborne fan, all this makes me extremely excited and gave me chills while watching the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice launch trailer, as the game with all these new mechanics might just be From Software’s most challenging title to date.

Everything in the trailer just looks so fluid and polished, which means it will probably have that mantra of “tough but fair” we know and love from the Soulsborne titles.
