Developer Ninja Theory revealed a new trailer for Hellblade 2, or Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, at the recent Xbox Games Showcase along with a release window of 2024 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. The trailer was welcomed by fans after the game went quiet for a couple of years. Ninja Theory delivered a taste of the game’s excellent sound design in the new trailer as well as showcasing some of its trippy visuals.
Ninja Theory didn’t reveal a concrete release date for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 yet, but we know it’s coming to Xbox Series X/S and PC sometime next year. It will be a direct sequel to 2017’s Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice and once again feature Melina Juergens performing the motion capture and vocal performance for protagonist Senua. Ninja Theory previously confirmed that the game was being developed in Unreal Engine 5.
The official description for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 provided by Ninja Theory reads:
“The sequel to the award winning Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Senua returns in a brutal journey of survival through the myth and torment of Viking Iceland.
