The 2011 demon shooter, Shadows of the Damned is getting a remaster. While details are scarce at this point, the game was confirmed during the countdown to the Devolver Digital Direct event. During the countdown, Grasshopper Manufacturer shared a rather cringe (and badly animated) teaser with protagonist Garcia Hotspur walking into the studio and shooting the developers.
The original Shadows of the Damned was released back. in 20122 for PS3 and Xbox 360. It was a game created by Grasshopper Manufacturer’s Goichi Suda and Shinji Mikami. It followed Garcia Hotspur on his quest to save his girlfriend Paula from the Lord of Demons.

The original game was published by Electronic Arts which is likely why we haven’t seen a sequel or remaster up to this point. Grasshopper was working on obtaining the rights for Shadows of the Damned.
Grasshopper Manufacturer says it will showcase more about the game at the upcoming Direct stream. The stream will kick off at 05:00 CAT on 15 June / 00:00 EDT 14 June / 21:00 PDT. The studio confirmed it will definitely play host to the Shadows of the Damned Remaster.
